At the department Biomedical Signals and Systems/Telemedicine of the University of Twente https://www.utwente.nl/en/eemcs/bss/, a vacancy exists for a PhD. The PhD position is funded by a recently awarded grant from ZONMW for a project called ‘E-manager Chronic Diseases. In the project the University of Twente works together with TNO, NIVEL and the UM but also with multiple health care professionals treating patients with chronic diseases like Astma and Diabetes. Within the project the University is responsible for the development and validation of the e-coaching module which uses input from various digital applications to get insight in health behaviour of the patient and uses motivational cues to increase the patients’ self-efficacy regarding healthy behaviour and goal realization.

The gross monthly salary starts with € 2266,- in the first year and increases to € 289740,- in the fourth year of your employment.

The faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS) comprises three disciplines that shape Information and Communication Technology. ICT is more than communication.
